What does shipping cost?
Shipping costs can be highly variable, but sometimes it helps to have an overview or estimate.
To the best of our understanding and hard-won research, hardcover book postage and handling will be roughly $8 to $12 in the US for all shipments using media mail, $25 to $30 for Canada, $10 to $30 for UK and EU destinations, and $30 to $45 for Australia and NZ.
Note that everything ships together in one box (to avoid charging you shipping twice). This includes all physical add-ons, such as teas, novels, and dice.
All shipping, VAT, tariffs, customs, and handling are charged separately from the pledge amount, during the survey stage.
Shipping outside the countries listed above is available, using air freight or international priority mailing. You should expect international air shipping costs of $45 to $90, depending on your location. All of those are best guesses based on current container and postal rates. All final shipping costs will be available in late summer of 2025.
If these shipping costs are prohibitive for you, please buy locally via your game store or hobby retailer. Asking for Kobold Press items at your local game store really does expand the number of people we can reach.

Can I get a Limited Edition as an add-on?
No, the Limited Edition is only available as a part of a pledge tier; it cannot be included later as an add-on. This is done to avoid increasing the print run beyond the limited total.
The best option is to make the Limited Edition your pledge, and then add on around it.

When will I get the game?
The RiverBank RPG will go to press this summer and be shipped to all backers by the end of the year. Depending on where you live, this might mean November or December.
We’ll share our progress, additional art, and more in the coming months. Kobold Press will also run RiverBank RPG games at Gen Con in Indianapolis July 31 to August 3.

I require additional information about these teas.
Of course! Here is an overview with some tasting notes.
The Pother Black Tea is a stunning caffeinated black tea with beautiful spice notes and a hint of fresh roses. Built on an Earl Gray base tea, it skirts the line between a classic English taste and the light spices of a Masala chai. The Kobold office favorite!
Pother Ingredients: Black tea, bergamot, fennel, rose, ginger, cardamom, lavender, black pepper
Poetry Herbal Blend, a non-caffeinated blend that centers rose hips as the base for all the other flavors to build onto, and loaded with sweet, tart, and floral flavors. Juicy and delightful at any hour, and the Kobold favorite after-dinner tea.
Poetry Ingredients: Rose hips, cherry pieces, blueberries, strawberry leaves, raspberry leaves, rose petals, cornflower petals

Will a virtual tabletop version of RiverBank be available?
No, right now our focus is entirely on print and PDF only, and Kij and the team are looking to deliver the best possible rules and scenarios.
Once the game exists, we might be able to work with a software platform to bring RiverBank to the virtual tabletop. But that’s a separate project requiring somewhat different skills, and our paws are already very busy.

What is this project's refund policy?
We stand behind our games, and if requested we will issue a refund for the full amount of the pledge prior to the project’s ship date.
After a reward has shipped, Kobold Press will either replace damaged/missing shipments or issue a store credit in the amount of the pledge.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
